GL Assessment Progress Tests Results

Students in schools in Dubai are required to undertake GL Assessment Progress Tests in English, maths and science in the summer term, to assess their attainment in these core subjects. The Progress Tests results from these internationally recognised standardised tests at Repton Dubai are outstanding.

In May 2017 our end of Key Stage results far exceeded the UK expectation of 77% of students meeting or exceeding the required level of attainment:

End of KS1 (Year 2)

  • 97% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in English
  • 97% meeting of exceeding UK expectations in maths

End of KS2 (Year 6)

  • 97% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in English
  • 95% meeting of exceeding UK expectations in maths
  • 96% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in science

End of KS3 (Year 9)

  • 83% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in English
  • 96% meeting of exceeding UK expectations in maths
  • 98% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in science

IGCSE Examination Results

The IGCSE examination results at Repton Dubai are outstanding. The progress that students make in their time here shows the hard work and dedication shown by students and staff. For the examination season 2017, the school achieved its best results ever, building upon the success of previous years.

Some of the key data is listed below:

  • 58% of all grades achieved in 2017 were A* – A
  • 82% of all grades achieved in 2017 were A* – B
  • 93% of all grades achieved in 2017 were A* – C

The graph below shows the upward trend in the percentage of grades achieved in each examination season over the last 3 years.

94.3%, 116 pupils from a cohort of 123, were successful in achieving 5 grades or more at A* – C.

IB Examination Results

The growing numbers of students studying IB at Repton Dubai has led to an increased curriculum provision, with a full Diploma pathway and the highly regarded Careers Programme. Over the last two years the number of pupils studying the IB diploma has doubled. In 2017 the average grade score per student was a record 35.0. This was the second highest score in Dubai and 5 points above the world average student score.

The highest score achieved by a Repton Dubai student was 43 points compared to 41 points in 2016.

57% of the 2017 candidates scored above 35 points in the examination season, placing them in the top 20% worldwide.
