Dubai, United Arab Emirates (August 23, 2018): Repton School Dubai, part of EKI and a partner school of the renowned Repton School in the United Kingdom is celebrating exceptional IGCSE examination results. 94 per cent of candidates have achieved five or more A* to C grades, with over 29 per cent of all grades reaching the A* standard, the highest total so far in our short history.

Timothy Hollis, Head of Senior School at Repton Dubai comments, “Following record-breaking results last year, this year’s results are outstanding yet again, with the benchmark set by KHDA (over 75% A*-B results). These results are testament to the pupils’ efforts, hard work and resilience to attain this level of success. I would also take this opportunity to extend huge gratitude to our dedicated staff and teachers who have provided essential ongoing support and encouragement which has led to this great achievement.

Our results compare favourably with the best schools in the UK. For example, in Biology, Chemistry and Physics 80% of all grades are A*-A”

Repton School, Dubai also showcased excellent accomplishment in the IBDP category this year, with an overall of 98% students awarded the IB Diploma, scoring an average of 34 points or more per student, against a typical global average of 30 points (2018 figures). This 34 points score is one of the highest ever achieved at the Nad al Sheba based school. This year, Repton Dubai also celebrated the first cohort of IB Careers Programme [IBCP] students, where all seven founding students successfully gained the Careers Programme qualification; completing a BTEC in Business Studies alongside the CP Core and two DP subjects.

IB success has enabled students to secure entry to some of the world’s best universities, with a high percentage gaining entry to the prestigious Russel Group of Universities in the UK or the Ivy League in the US.
