GL Assessment Progress Tests Results

Students in schools in Dubai are required to undertake GL Assessment Progress Tests in English, maths and science in the summer term, to assess their attainment in these core subjects. The Progress Tests results from these internationally recognised standardised tests at Repton Dubai are outstanding.

In May 2017 our end of Key Stage results far exceeded the UK expectation of 77% of students meeting or exceeding the required level of attainment:

End of KS1 (Year 2)

  • 97% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in English
  • 97% meeting of exceeding UK expectations in maths

End of KS2 (Year 6)

  • 97% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in English
  • 95% meeting of exceeding UK expectations in maths
  • 96% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in science

End of KS3 (Year 9)

  • 83% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in English
  • 96% meeting of exceeding UK expectations in maths
  • 98% meeting or exceeding UK expectations in science

IGCSE Examination Results

The IGCSE examination results at Repton Dubai are outstanding. The progress that students make in their time here shows the hard work and dedication shown by students and staff.

92%, were successful in achieving 5 grades or more at A* – C.

Some of the key data is listed below:

  • 31% of all grades achieved in 2019 were A*
  • 51% of all grades achieved in 2019 were A* – A
  •  82% of all grades achieved in 2019 were A* – B
  • 92% of all grades achieved in 2019 were A* – C

Our results compare favourably with the best schools in the UK. In Biology, Chemistry and Physics 80% of all grades are A*- A”

IB Examination Results

The growing numbers of students studying IB at Repton Dubai has led to an increased curriculum provision, with a full Diploma pathway and the highly regarded Careers Programme.

100% of our IBDP students have been awarded the IB Diploma, scoring an average of 34 points or more per student, against a typical global average of 30 points (2018 figures).

This year, 47% of Repton School Dubai students, achieved 34 points of more, meaning that they have secured places at prestigious universities across the World, such as Durham University, University College London, King’s College London and Warwick University in England; Emory University and the University of Michigan in the USA; the University of Toronto (Canada); St Andrews University and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Additionally, 100% of IBCP students have successfully graduated from the programme; having completed a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Business within the IB Careers-Related Programme.

Yet another highlight for Repton School Dubai is that 100% of Emirati pupils who completed the examinations have successfully earned their IB Diploma or IBCP certificate, in line with the region’s aim of prioritizing the education of its young generations.
