The Repton Curriculum in Context
The table below indicates how the Repton School in Dubai curriculum compares with those curricula in the UAE and in selected countries. Whilst providing some guidance for transfer pupils coming into the school, it should be considered that the school reserves the right to decide what level is most suitable for a child, based upon entrance test performance, previous school reports and our professional judgement.
Parents and pupils coming from other parts of the world may be confused as to how age groups are labelled. Repton School in Dubai uses the UK system of ‘Years’ as opposed to the US ‘Grade’. Therefore, a pupil coming from a US Grade 6 class is a UK Year 7 pupil; in US Grade schools, pupils graduate from Grade 12 whereas students at Repton will graduate from Year 13.
