Foundation Department: After School Care

Our ‘Happy Snappers’ club continues to provide after school care provision for our Nursery and Reception pupils. In the first instance it is available for pupils with siblings in older year bands at Repton. In the event there are spaces available it will be opened to all pupils in the Foundation Department. 

We believe that our very youngest Repton children need to go home and enjoy their 'down time' with family and friends but we understand this is not always possible. During the school day the children have an extremely busy and productive time and are often very tired at the end of the day. Our intention is for the children to have lots of fun in the ‘Happy Snappers’ club and also be able to relax and wind down at the end of the day when they need to.

The children are able to choose from a variety of planned activities that are fun and stimulating whilst being appropriate for their individual energy levels. Each day they will have access to a wide range of good quality resources and enjoy cooking, games and art and craft activities. They will be able to choose if they want to play inside the classroom or outside in the secure garden and we also have a quiet area for them to rest or sleep if they feel the need.

The club will take place in the Community Room and the staff will consist of Mrs Pauline Bailey and Mrs Mary Ann Davies. Both ladies will be joined by our existing assistants from within our Foundation department.

We will provide two sessions each day except on a Tuesday and a Thursday. On these days there will only be provision for a Nursery session, finishing at 2.30pm.
