Boys' Boarding 2011-12
Fry House
Fry House is the Boys' Boarding House, situated on the school campus with easy access to all the school facilities. The House currently has approximately 50 boys, with more set to join in the near future, and can hold up to 100 boys at full capacity.
Outside of school hours the boys have specific time set aside for prep, eat all their meals in the main dining hall and have access to school facilities. There are activities run by the House staff every evening and during the weekends, extra activities away from the school site, such as Golf, Sailing, Surfing, Karting and Skiing which run for a four week period, and there are one-off trips to places such as Wild Wadi, Wadi Adventure, Aquadventure and Dreamland where the boys can swim, enjoy the water slides and try their hand at kayaking and rafting. The boys also have a weekly trip to a local Mall and every term there is a school based event such as a quiz night, a games night or a barbeque evening.
The aim of Boarding is to give the boys opportunities to step out of their comfort zone, to try new activities and to stretch themselves in ways that they would not necessarily do if they were only a day student. They do all this whilst being part of a community which looks out for and supports each other in all areas of school life.
