• Physics

    Physics will be taught to all pupils up to the end of Year 9. At IGCSE pupils will be able to carry on Physics as a separate science, as part of a dual award through Coordinated Science or as the individual award of Combined Science. This can be taken on at IB Diploma as an option in the Science block. All pupils will be taught by a Physics specialist.

  • Music

    Apart from getting the chance to learn an instrument through our comprehensive peripatetic programme, pupils will study Music from Year 7 as a curriculum subject. They will then get the chance to take Music on to IGCSE. Pupils will get the chance to use our state of the art facilities for instruction, composing and performing.

  • Modern Foreign Languages

    From the beginning of Year 7 students will be able to study a whole host of modern foreign languages. These will initially be Arabic, French, German, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. From September 2009 we will add Japanese to this. If the pupil joins us in Year 7, or at a later stage with sufficient grounding in a language, then they will go on to take an IGCSE in the subject.

  • Information and Communication Technology

    Information and Communication Technology

    Pupils will study ICT as a compulsory subject for their first year at Repton Senior School. The main aim will be completion of the ICDL (International Computer Driving License). ICT skills will be an integral feature of study at Repton, with ICT usage being encouraged in every subject. In addition to the ICDL, pupils will be able to go on to do Computer Studies or Information Technology at IGCSE.
