Visits
The School encourages frequent interaction between its pupils and their families.
Outside of lesson and commitment times parents will be allowed to visit their children at any time, provided they report in to the member of staff on duty before coming into the House. Parents will be welcome to meet pupils either in their rooms or a quiet area in the House.
Parent will be encouraged to visit to see their sons and daughters perform in concerts, plays, School sports matches and the like.
On top of this we will have gatherings and social occasions for each House, such as an annual Dinner for each Boarding House for parents and senior pupils. When you cannot get over to the School to visit your son or daughter in person you will be able to get in contact with your child by either phone or email. All rooms will have internet access and, although the content available will, of course, be strictly controlled, we will encourage frequent contact by email.
On top of this pupils will be welcome to make contact either by mobile phone (which they must do from the Boarding House) or with one of the House phones. As parents you will be able to phone into one of the House phones or to mobiles, but please do so only in free time before or after prep and before bed time, which will depend on the year group. You will quickly get to know your son or daughter’s timetable and a more comprehensive programme will be sent out to you in due course with the Boarding House Handbook.
