Caring Staff
Staff at the Boarding Houses are experienced child carers and focus on creating a happy home environment for Senior School Pupils. There will be three resident Boarding House staff in each Boarding House. All House staff have outstanding boarding backgrounds. In Repton’s inaugural Boarding House they will be as follows:
Mr Nigel Kew (Head of Boarding)
Nigel Kew comes directly from Repton in the UK as Head of Boarding. A modern linguist, Mr Kew served for 11 years as Housemaster of New House, one of the boys' Boarding Houses at Repton School. He has also been fully involved in Repton sports, notably football, hockey and cricket, and is also very adept at drama, more as a director than an actor. Lastly, he is a very keen choral singer.
Mr Andrew Bradley (Boarding House Tutor) Andrew Bradley is a Physical Education teacher, coming from St. Andrew’s School, an independent boarding school in East Sussex, England. He is very experienced in boarding, and also brings a love of sport to Repton boarding programme. He has also taught ICT.
This team will be supported by highly talented, live-in GAP students, two coming from Repton in the UK, a Matron and support medical staff. This means that in the first year of boarding at Repton there will be approximately one member of staff per 8 pupils living in the House. The girls’ boarding team for September 2009 has also been appointed, with the Head of Girls’ Boarding coming from Cheltenham College in the UK and her assistant from Dulwich International College in Thailand.
