School Meals

School lunches are available to all pupils.

The kitchen department’s main goal is to produce fresh, wholesome, nutritious, well balanced meals.  All meals are produced in house, so we are in full control of all ingredients used in the production of our school meals.

We strive to comply with all dietary requirements, and are currently totally nut free; if we need to cater for a specific case of dietary intolerance we make a special effort to produce tailor made meals for the individuals concerned.

We use only fresh ingredients and do not utilise ready to cook items, such as pre-crumbed fillets of fish or chicken nuggets and the like!

The use of chocolate is reduced (but not eradicated!) and kept to a minimum as per KHDA requirements, chocolate substitute’s such as Carob is used in its place.

We are in the process of being trans-fat free kitchen and are working in conjunction with our suppliers to ensure no products containing trans–fat are sourced or purchased .

Our menus encapsulate all the food groups nutritional values required to ensure the pupils ability to sustain and focus on the remainder of the day’s education.

Healthy options and vegetarian options are always available; we have reduced the use of salt in all dishes, and do not use MSG in any of our menus.

A good diet is important for good health and can help to maintain a healthy body weight, enhance general well-being and reduce the risks of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis and other diseases.

We want dining to be an event and therefore produce meals that offer the ‘WOW’ factor for our pupils, not only in the taste, and variety but in the presentation and service at all meal periods.
