For our part, in the Senior School, we are confident we have synthesized the best of British academic excellence into a first rate Senior School Curriculum. This will see the students progress through the Cambridge International Examinations Lower Secondary Programme, with Checkpoint diagnostic tests at age 14 in English, Maths and Science. Following on from this students will sit for between 9 and 11 IGCSEs and in the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13) students will progress to the International Baccalaureate Diploma. There is no doubt the teaching and learning at Repton will be outstanding, but in addition to this we will be offering 45 different subjects, thus ensuring tremendous diversity in Repton academic life. Beyond the classroom we are developing unparalleled facilities that will ensure our students can develop as much in sport, music, drama, arts and crafts, outdoor pursuits and other co-curricular areas as they will be able to in their academic subjects. We are extremely ambitious in all these areas and I would encourage you to come in and see the plans we have for our co-curricular facilities.
Amidst all these fantastic educational experiences, we will never lose sight of the fact that we are preparing our students for the vagaries of the world beyond School, both for university and working life. To this end we will be offering cutting edge leadership training, work experience and university and careers advice.
This will be as integral to our co-curricular programme as are sport and cultural pursuits. Finally, I would welcome you to come into visit us at our site in Nad al Sheba. I would be very happy to meet you and your children and hope that you will join us in this groundbreaking educational journey.
